Skål! In the first new episode of Bodies of Horror of 2021, we’re putting Ari Aster’s 2018 film Midsommar on the examination table.
Using this film as a heightened example of how culture can impact our understanding of disability, we’ll be discussing the intersection of ageism and ableism. We also take a look at the character of Rueben and discuss themes of eugenics.
